Opera Keyboard Shortcuts doing nothing

I have a shortcut to open whatsapp from the sidebar, ctrl + shft + w. It's been working ever since I set it, until the last day or two.
I have verified in opera://settings/keyboardShortcuts that it is still set to the same thing. I have deleted it and re-set it. I have restarted the browser and the computer.
I have tried changing it to a different shortcut. None of these things makes it work. There is zero result, zero effect when pressing the hotkeys. Whatsapp still works and opens normally when I click on it. The only change is the hotkeys.
I have added no new extentions. I have confirmed that it also does not work in incognito mode.

I used exactly the same shortcut, and have the same issue.
I had version: 135.0.5973.66
Updated to version: 135.0.5973.92 (didn't fix it)
OS: Windows 11 (64-bit)My other shortcuts work properly, such as ctrl + shift + T for Telegram.
I even tried changing them (ctrl + shift + T for WhatsApp and ctrl + shift + W for Telegram), but still WhatsApp doesn't open on key press, and Telegram opens and closes normally, so the problem is not the keys, it is WhatsApp.
Hope any of this helps for solving the problem.

Same problem. I have Alt+W for Whatsapp and started failing last week. Super annoying, tbh, I was so used to use the shortcut.
Version: 135.0.5973.94

9/14/26 Opera has been updated and the shortcut works again.
I filled out a bug report on this issue and in the response today (three days later) they described it as "fixed" so I guess that's admission it was well and truly broken on their end.

Same here, I also use Ctrl + Shift + W for whatsapp and it is not working now. I have reported this bug, they told me that it would be fixed by the end of last week, but still not fixed
