Why such a stagnation in Android updates?

Several Chromium updates have been released in recent weeks, but no patches have been released. Furthermore, the last few updates didn't list changes in the store—specifically, the Chromium patch dates were missing—and the changelogs didn't change. I suspect it's the holiday season, but there's no one to cover it?
