"not allowed to enter picture-in-picture automatically" being reset

The past few updates of Opera for macOS (maybe it's the same for Windows?) reset "not allowed to enter picture-in-picture automatically" meaning every time I update Opera I have to add all the video sites like youtube.com manually to the list to get rid of the pop out videos.
