They updated it, just for those in the back who dont know, you never wake up one day and have to troubleshoot this stuff. Ublock Origin works until Youtube makes it dont. Then we let Ublock Origin know here in these comments. Then they update it. all you hairbrains with your dumb "fixes" and re the guy who said stop suggesting brave, im not switching to brave, genuinely would be baffled by many if any opera users switching to brave, thanks for the update UBlock. alls smooth sailing now again as of 5/29/26

@mantapp this guy is the exception. This isnt a "hairbrain fix" this is manually updating ublock with ublock's own update. so yea. if your still seeing ads, try and manually update, or check if the next update is available for you to do that and check to see if your version is up to date.

Les comparto lo que me ha funcionado, al momento de ver un video deshabilitar la extension, luego tragarte un anuncio y luego volver a activar la extension, me ha funcionado y no me han salido mas anuncios en yt

For a few days I have a problem with youtube while this addon is avcitve. I keep getting a "an error occurred" message and the video cuts off every time. I suspect Google has probably started blocking this extension.

Same here, really annoying. But it's not happening in Edge. I guess it's because this uBlock Origin from the Opera store is updated less frequently than the one from the Microsoft and Chrome stores. It will probably be fixed the next time it gets updated.

@Rhavyc Honestly I was right where you are with this one, but this time particularily I'm just fed up with Opera playing along with all of youtube's tantrums. And for quite a while now. Now I haven't fully changed browsers, but definitely cornered into changing browsers for the time being

@indirgen: removing the extension once and redownloading it fixed it for me. It's probably just not auto updating for Opera

@leafsama Install uBLock Origin Lite from the Chrome Webstore works fine with You Tube.

The ublock origin at the opera extension isn't updated, but it will be soon. If you can't wait, install the ublock lite from the chrome store into opera, that blocker was updated 5/30 and works.

On Brave, Firefox youtube work correct but not on Opera.

il faut désinstaller u block origin,puis le réinstaller,suivre la méthode de @mantapp

et il faut désactiver le bloqueur d' opera,utiliser uniquement u block origin et ça fonctionne parfaitement.

mais pour ça,il aurait fallu lire les commentaires au dessus....... et vous seriez dépanné !!

I installed uBlock Origin Lite from the Chrome Web Store and it works fine on You Tube with Opera.
