@burnout426 Eventually, I found out, that the problem is not associated with Opera but as you said, it only turned out when I used it. It's a problem with DNS resolving, indeed, but it was happening with Firefox or Brave as well.

My ISP advised me to make a complete reset, so I'll hope that the issues are gone now. Thank you for you help, nevertheless. You're advice is very welcome.

Unfortunately, the issue reoccured. I'd only used Firefox after the hard reset of my FritzBox for a week, just to make sure not to have any issues.
So, I dared to install Opera again. And it lasted half a day, when the same problem appeared again. No connection to the Internet for any device, although the router didn't show any visible error message of a broken internet connection.
As I'm having no clue what actually causes the problem, I'll stay away from Opera for some time, unfortunately.

If I ask Gemini, it tells me roughly the same again: too many connections made by Opera at once. And gives me the following advice:

        1. Turn out DoH in the browser
        2. Disconnect synchronisation and/or Flow
        3. Disable some filter lists in the ad blocker

I actually would do that in the future, but at the moment I'm really fed up as last time resetting the router took me at least an hour, especially with all devices in need to be connected again.

Have I already said, that this behavior only appeared with version 128? Although I've seen some minor issues of this kind with earlier versions as well.

@Himmelsschlingel Thanks for reporting and apologies for late reply.

There are many details in this thread, so let me consult this internally and see if we can add something to this discussion.

Ok, so what I got from our engineers:

"Please use a clean profile, as it appears that DNS over HTTPS (DOH) was the original cause of the issue. DOH is not activated in a clean profile, so although you mentioned turning it off, we can only be certain by testing with a clean profile.

If the problem persists, please confirm whether you have activated the free VPN, as this can also trigger the behavior affecting your router."

Regarding version 128. The new stable version has been released for Developer on Monday and today it will be released for Stable.

That seemed to be the problem. I didn’t change the DoH setting after the fresh install and I haven‘t had an issue so far.

@Mlipka I'm afraid, joy about it lasted only for a day. I had to restart to router twice this morning. Haven't changed the DNS settings in Opera, neither on desktop nor on Android and never used VPN.
Still, I wonder if this is just coincidence, but I'd rather use Firefox instead for a while in order to exclude it wasn't any general issue in the router. So if it's going well for another week, I'll try to install Opera again. But for now it's really annoying, if Opera really is the suspect and behaving strangely.
Some would say it could also be an issue with Flow, I don't know, actually. But if it's really Opera-related, it only appeared after Version 128 not before. There were hardly any issues before, only some smaller problems which disappeared after restarting the router, but they didn't prevail.
I'd love to use Opera as my default with Firefox as back up, but for now I'll keep using the latter exclusively.
