How do I make Opera quit nagging me about updates?

Every time I open Opera, it tells me to upgrade. I'll upgrade when I'm good and darn feel like it, but in the mean time, how do I get my browser off my case about it? I don't see any 'automatically check for updates' option anywhere. Using Opera Next 22.0.1471.16.

I do not use your version but a much older version.
I type in address bar this : Opera:config
in the search bar, type: update
I see my choice from there called Auto update responded is ' checked '.
Not sure if this work for you. ( if you mark that item to ' checked ' ) and you need to click save from that section. ( Not the save button at the very bottom , the save button just for that section.
Also, in my old version Opera from, Setting --> Preference --> Security, there is an option to say DO NOT CHECK UPDATE.
Thank you

Edmond. All you said is for old Opera. AFAIK there is no way to disable update in new Opera.

For the new Opera add the following Environment System Variable to Windows:
OPERA_AUTOUPDATE_DISABLED as the variable

Just asking the question for those who may ask it anyway, and who maybe worried about re-enabling update in the future. I'm on linux (atm), so can not check, hence the question.

In order not to receive automatic updates, should the Auto Update Responded box be checked or unchecked? Thank you.
I'm running Windows 7, and pages won't even load in Opera 22. Twice now I have received automatic updates I've had to work around.
