Opera browser is my favorite browser on Android, but I have found a bug in it, that is, whenever I download any movie or large file and minimize Opera, the download stops and after that when I go to the browser again, the download starts but from the beginning, And when we visit any other website like filmyfly then the browser redirects us to some other page instead of the website like pari match etc. Please fix it, thank you

I've had the same issue with Opera pausing downloads when minimized. A workaround that helped me was turning off "Battery saver" in settings or using the GX version, which seems more stable for background tasks. Hope that helps!

@Jenny11 Hi. I've tried everything, disabled battery saver and let the app use unrestricted resources in the background and it still pauses the downloads after some time in minimized mode. I don't want to use GX because I prefer the UI or Opera One. Any workarounds?

@tara556611 Thanks for sharing your issue. Opera is a good browser, but this problem can be frustrating. The download stopping usually happens because Android restricts apps in the background, so you can try disabling battery optimization for Opera and allowing background data and storage permissions. The redirection to other sites often comes from ads or scripts on some websites, not always the browser itself, so turning on Opera’s ad blocker and pop-up blocker and clearing cache may help. If the issue continues, reporting it through Opera’s in-app feedback would be the best way to get it fixed.
