I’ve used Android phones from various brands for years, but recently my gf convinced me to get an iPhone (15). It’s been weeks but I’m still not comfortable. Which one do you prefer?

I totally get where you’re coming from. I switched from Android to an iPhone a few months back (also the 15), and honestly, it took me a while to adjust too. Android gives you so much flexibility — file transfers, customization, widgets that actually feel useful — while iOS feels a bit more “locked down” at first.

That said, once you get used to the Apple ecosystem, some things do start to make sense. AirDrop, FaceTime, iMessage — all those little integrations make life easier if most people around you use iPhones too. But if your workflow depends a lot on Google services or custom apps, Android still wins hands down.

In the end, I think it depends on what matters most to you: customization and freedom (Android) or consistency and ecosystem (iPhone). Personally, I keep an old Android phone around for testing and tinkering, but my main phone is now the iPhone because it’s just… less hassle day to day.

@evelyngrace I have to mention that I also enjoy using an iPhone sometimes, mainly because of the flexibility offered by third-party IPA installers like Scarlet iOS, available from scarletiostore. Unlike the official App Store, Scarlet iOS allows users to install customized or unofficial apps directly on their devices without going through Apple’s strict app review process.

It’s especially useful for testing new apps, exploring tweaked versions, or accessing tools that aren’t normally available on the App Store. The installation process is quite straightforward, and the platform provides regular updates to maintain compatibility with the latest iOS versions. Overall, it adds an extra layer of convenience and freedom that makes the iPhone experience more enjoyable for tech enthusiasts like me.

            iPhone pros
If you need more security control on your device.
And you want to enjoy the Apple ecosystem, when you just sharing screens to Mac, can open your iPhone clone on Mac, copy text from Mac and paste it to iPhone or back using synchronized memory for such as things. Great computational photography and video recording.
            Android pros
If you need ultra flexibility with managing any kind of files. Uploading any APK and installing it in seconds. Or you want to place any widget you can just imagine (some of them Apple already get). Great clean photography and video recording (computational will give better fast result).
