Open PDFs with default viewer instead of in Opera tab?

I prefer to open PDFs by my default viewer (Foxit), however I can't find the option to turn the feature off that opens pdfs in browser tabs. This wouldn't be so bad, however opera UI completely hangs one out of 2-3 times after opening a pdf (I have to kill it from taskman). I assume Adobe reader loads the pdf, however it still does after I turned off the option in Adobe Reader.
How can I change the way pdf-s are handled by Opera?Thank you!

Enable Developer tools from the More Tools menu
In developer tools, select plugins
In plugins, disable the PDF plugins you don't wish to use and enable Foxit Reader plugin if you want to use that, or disable all to open PDF files externally.

How does Opera 21 know which plug-in to use if multiple plug-ins are registered for the same MIME type?
I've just noticed that I've got three different plug-ins set up for MIME type "application/pdf".

If you disable them all, it will download PDF files.
Double-click the file name in the download popup to open it in your default PDF Viewer.
