Hi,
I found Opera in Nixpkgs but when I went to install, using unstable it turns out it is unmaintained.
Is anybody from Opera ready to take this maintenance up again?

I see it's not in https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/tree/master/pkgs/applications/networking/browsers.
I also see at https://github.com/NixOS/nixpkgs/pull/408759 that the Opera package has been dropped.

@burnout426 Yes, and the comments were:
"
The listed maintainer did not touch nixpkgs for at least 6 months. The package is only updated from time to time only thanks to
the update bot and drive-by committers. This is not a sustainable
way to maintain a security-critical package. Also removed the maintainer for the maintainer lists since it was the only package they maintained.
"Is Opera, the business, interested in keeping a professional image. All they need to do is assign a maintainer that changes something in Nixpkgs more often than every six months. And tests each release as part of the regular release process.
Or an AppImage instead of a snap!? (Flatpak??)

@matstage The Opera flatpak is at https://flathub.org/apps/com.opera.Opera. Also see https://github.com/flathub/com.opera.Opera/. It is not maintained by Opera, but the maintainer tries to keep it up to date and tries to address issues when you file them. Consider it the official, unofficial Opera flatpak. Opera employees reference it.
I see there's https://www.appimagehub.com/p/2194902 for appimage, but it looks unofficial too and doesn't seem to be up to date.
The Opera snap package is at https://snapcraft.io/opera. That one is maintained by Opera. I don't think Opera has the resources and desire to maintain other package formats.
There's a docker image of Opera at https://hub.docker.com/r/linuxserver/opera. Looks like it's kept up to date, but not official as far as I can tell.
