Hi everyone,
I have problem with video resolution on YT. Some of them are only in 360p resolution, like this one
www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Hj7ClzS1oE&t=01s
I'm Linux Mint user, so I tried codecs update "sudo apt install chromium-codecs-ffmpeg-extra". Add block is off. Didn't help.
The thing is I have no problem with that video on Brave (144p, 360p and 720p). Both with Opera the are on the same Chromium engin, so what is the issue? -

I can play it with higher resolution like 2160p without any problems -

Hey! This issue likely comes from missing or outdated media codecs in Opera. Even though Opera and Brave are Chromium-based, Brave includes more built-in media support by default. Try updating Opera or reinstalling it via a Flatpak or Snap package, which often includes the needed codecs. Also, ensure hardware acceleration is enabled in Opera settings. That usually helps with resolution issues on YouTube.
