Again I have installed a new version of Opera and have to re-set the settings such as bookmarks etc. Why can't Opera just install and keep the same settings from the previous version? This is the only annoying thing with Opera, well, there are probably a few more but for me this is the main problem.

How are you installing it? If you install on top of a previous installation it should be picking up your settings.

Yes I simply installed it over the old one. And now the import bookmarks thing is rather weird as well - I want to simply import the bookmarks file again but I get a weird menu which seems to want me to import links from the URL bar. There is no import from a file facility!

I tried pressing F4 to bring up the panels but that does nothing either - I have "lost" the several menus I had previously had as the interface.

I simply want to see my Bookmarks panel where it was on the left of the screen but I press F4 and nothing happens. I hope that they are still there (?)

Don't worry - I have simply uninstalled version 22 and gone back to 12.0
