Remember user-defined DNS

Is it possible that Opera remembers a user defined DNS entry, even after you switch off and on DNS-over-HTTPS? Currently you have to enter a value each time.

What does Chrome at when you use a custom DNS provider at the URL chrome://settings/security and turn DNS over HTTPS off and on? Does it retain the custom entry? If not, it might be an issue in Chromium that needs to be fixed/supported so all Chromium-based browsers retain the setting.
