@maltepruser Ghostery is a standalone privacy protection tool and doesn't rely on Opera's Privacy Protection features. The setup remains your decision.
What we advise to do additionally to installing Ghostery is giving permissions to Ghostery extension to block ads and trackers on search engine result pages. This simple guide shows how:

Hi there, can you tell us if your situation is similar to the one described here?
https://github.com/ghostery/ghostery-extension/issues/1550
If so, can I ask you to check on your side whether uninstalling and installing the extension helps in this case?Thank you very much!

@eliotcougar said in Ghostery:
After the last update the extension is unusable primarily because the detailed settings are no longer available... There are many sites that don't work if one of the trackers is blocked, and you have to be able to allow only that specific tracker to run on that specific site... Now you cannot allow/block specific trackers on specific sites anymore... I also would like to allow Google's trackers and ads everywhere, but again that is no longer configurable...
Hi there,
the awaited feature for power users offering the ability to block or trust individual trackers is alive in the latest version of Ghostery. Please update! We thought you might want to know.
Best,

Aboslutely essential!! I cannot imagine the web without Ghostery!! Still, version 10 has it's problems with blocking trackers and I recoomend older version 8, which can be found on Chrome Store.

@ghosterysupport No I have not reached an incorrect conclusion as I have been using a computer for many years, what a bizzare and frankly quite rude way to respond to people when you have clearly and obviously ruined your extension for the opera browser.

@montanagrl5
We did not mean to be rude nor sound bizzare in our response, we were just stating technical details on what we assumed you were mentioning in your feedback (cookies) and their development over the years. -

@ghosterysupport It's quite simple, rude is when you are responding to me differently then everyone else that is saying/reporting the same exact thing as me (about ghostery not working properly on opera) and bizzare is hyper focusing on my what I said rather then on fixing ghostery's issues. There is no need for a follow up response. We all just need/want ghostery to start functioning properly on opera again.
