yes, crash happens after change settings
- clear you profile [rm - r ~/.config/opera] to let environment clean
- launch opera
- clear shortcuts of "exit" in settings. [both of two ctrl+q & ctrl+shift+x, left anyone of it will not make crash happen]. with no any warning prompted said "you can not do that!".
- make sure setting modification saved
- close opera, and then crash endlessly unless you do step 1 again
environment: newest debian with cinnamon, newest opera [just download]. nvidia 1660ti [i think it is not their business]
come on ... just make it stable. it really ridiculous ..
I need to clear exit shortcut because it is easy to mis-touch ctrl+q when press ctrl+w in qwerty keyboard thou you've made it needs double confirmation. I've never expect bug happens because of simple setting adjustment.
I no longer use qwerty keyboard and change to dvorak by the way ..
appreciate your effort .. sorry for the poor typing because i am new of dvorak. yes i am dvorak-fans

@jitec28638
is macos has second shortcut to exit like "ctrl+shift+x " too?I think it always happen when "exit shortcut" set to "nothing".
when you re-assign sider bar shortcut to existing "command + q" (been used by exit shortcut), then "exit shortcut" will clear to "nothing" if there are no second one setted

@blythe "ctrl+shift+x" I think, there isn't shortcut like this. but your case, must be true. I think, at least they must add "reset settings default" to "easy setup" (settings located right above browser)
