browser slow when first launching

Every time I open my browser it takes a while for any tab to load. what can i do to fix this issue?

Goto the URL opera://settings/clearBrowserData and clear browsing history and download history for all time. Then, goto the URL opera://about, take note of the "profile" path, close Opera and delete the "History" file in the profile folder.

If that doesn't do the trick, clear "cached images and files" for all time.

If that doesn't do the trick, log out of Opera Sync if you're using it to test if that fixes it.

If that doesn't do the trick, how many bookmarks do you have?

Do you have any mods installed at the URL opera://mods? Any of them providing an animated or live wallpaper for the start page? Any of them providing a game for the game strip on the start page?

@burnout426 Nope tried everything you said just started happening after i wiped my drives and downloaded opera gx again.

Same issue in a test standalone installation of Opera GX?

Do you have a mechanical hard drive or SSD?

@bessy80085 Okay. Was going to suggest that if you had a mechanical drive that you defrag it (even though you just installed everything new) just in case Opera's files were at the end of the disk or something weird like that causing it to load slow.

@burnout426 I just re installed a second ago same thing still wont load any tabs for a little bit but then the browser works perfectly fine its just slightly annoying I have to wait an extra amount of time to search something.
