Use VPN Pro with Opera on Linux?

Hello, I am trying to use Opera VPN Pro but it simply does not work. I subscribed to VPN Pro, sychronized my Opera account in Opera, but the download link "Install VPN Pro client" on the page https://www.opera.com/de/products/vpn-pro/thanks has no effect when I click on it.
(And if I click the link in another browser, it will prompt me to update Opera.)I have read here that I need to install the Opera Developer version. Tried that, installed Opera Developer latest version, but it's the same: The install button does nothing.
I can only use the free VPN. Frustrating.

Opera VPN Pro Install Issues:
Update Opera to latest version.
Clear browser cache and cookies.
Disable extensions.
Try incognito mode.
Download manually from: opera com/features/vpn-pro
Contact Opera support for further help. -

@amnasoft Yes. But it was not mentioned anywhere when I subscribed to pro that it would only work on Windows computers.
They even could detect the OS automatically and display an info about that VPN Pro won't work with Linux instead of letting me find out by trying and failing. They wasted my time. At least I am glad that I could cancel the subscription.

- There's a question here: https://support-vpn-pro.opera.com/hc/en-us/articles/6371354269201-Can-I-use-Opera-VPN-Pro-on-my-Laptop-Desktop-computer-
- And here: https://support-vpn-pro.opera.com/hc/en-us/articles/4467741826577-Can-I-use-Opera-VPN-Pro-on-my-Chromebook-
- No question about desktop Linux support yet, but I've submitted one.

Here's the answer from Opera VPN Pro Team:
“
Thank you for contacting Opera VPN Pro.Currently, we are not aware of any plans to include a VPN Pro in Linux OS, however, we're actively listening to our users' feedback, and this might be available in the future. Please stay tuned to Opera marketing updates for more news.

@amnasoft We'll see if it ever will be made…
And I really think they have to include this info about which OS will work right on the landing and purchase page for Opera Pro, https://www.opera.com/features/vpn-pro
It only says "Android and desktop devices" and then not to mention that it's only Windows (and Mac?) desktop devices, this is deception.
Because: VPN is not rocket science, Linux (Ubuntu) has OpenVPN functions built in and I would only have to enter server credentials to use a VPN, no need for proprietary software. But not even this will work with Opera Pro VPN.
