Sessions (Opened tabs, etc) being lost after an update or a crash

If you decide to update Opera or to close it via task manager (in case of unrelated to Opera lag or something) all tabs will get lost even with correct open tabs from previous session setting turned on. This also happens randomly on some crashes (most crashes do not lead to tabs getting lost).
While it would be hard to fix the reason behind this, I'd like to suggest
Restore Tabs from Previous Session
or something like in Google Chrome. SessionBuddy (an extension) restores tabs in Opera One, but puts tabs from all workspaces into one, which is not really a working solution. There should be a solution specifically for Opera One and its workspaces, as it seems to be the only critical issue that I met after month? of using the browser. -

@nonme1 I'm in the same boat. And we're talking about 30 tabs spread over both islands and the sidebar.
This is disheartening. For me this has been happening frequently since upgrading to Opera One.This is on windows 11.
This has thus far not happened on windows 10Ok - this is weird. I exited opera just now on windows 11.
Then restarted.
All the tabs were back. -

I've been having an issue with restoring my previous sessions since updating to opera one, in the fact that my sessions no longer will restore across computer restarts. if i close opera and reopen it without shutting down and starting my computer again, the session restores as you'd expect. I've looked around for the past couple days to find any solutions and come up dry. I've made sure that the option to restore sessions is active, I've checked my sessions folder in my computer's storage and those seem to be intact, it just seems that opera doesn't want to restore sessions across restarts, and as someone who uses their computer regularly it's very annoying to lose everything from the previous day.

I also have a problem with sessions.
After several closings of the program, the sessions are reset to zero and all tabs are closed the next time Opera is opened.

My problem is still occurring unfortunately. it had gone a few days where it properly restored my sessions, but just today it reset them again. I've gotten an extension to restore previous sessions, but the one i have does not account for tab islands or workspaces, so it isn't an ideal solution.

Currently running version 100.0.4815.76.
When Opera updated to 100.0.4815.76 I lost the main window of the previous session and the workspaces attached.
I started using one of the other windows as the main only to lose most of that window the next time Opera was closed.
The new main Window still existed after the loading up Opera but only 1 tab of about 70 remained in the main work space.
With all the issues with Opera since Opera one launched it no longer a viable browser to use.
Prior to the launch Opera was a very useable browser. -

\AppData\Roaming\Opera Software\Opera Stable\Sessions gives a couple of Session and Tabs files with modified date today, but when I open my browser it goes to a session from over 5 months ago - including missing all of my speed dial folders and history.
If I remove the Session and Tabs files from the folder, and try to restore previous versions of those files from earlier today or even yesterday, Opera still opens to the session from 5 months ago.
If I remove the Session and Tabs files from the folder, leaving it empty, and start a new window the same thing happens.
If I remove the Session and Tabs files from the folder, leaving it empty, and restart my computer, the new window will open and contain my history and speed dial folders, but will not allow me to recover my previous sessions.I'm open to any thoughts or advice.

@grinningjest3r Disregard. My issue was caused by a configuration adjustment I had done. When I built my newest computer, I was having an issue syncing sessions/tabs/history across devices, so I created a Sessions folder on dropbox so I could save/load sessions from there whenever it wouldn't sync. For some reason after the update today, my browser was trying to load the session saved in dropbox which was from February, instead of the session saved locally which was up to date.
