I'm having the very same problem. It's quite awkward with the smaller size because this pc is a media player connected to a hdtv a couple of metres away from me. I'm running windows 8

I have a similar problem. I have an ultrabook with windows 8.1 and ultra-high screen resolution (3200x1800). Everything has been working superbly up until install of Opera 19. Then fonts and widgets have become reaaaally small and only a fragment of the screen width is used for page rendering.

Type opera:flags HiDPI and change the setting to see if that helps.

It doesn't seem to make any difference for me on 1280x1024

Unfortunately changing the HiDPI flag from default to enabled or disabled and then restart does not fix the problem.

Having the same issue. Machine is a Lenovo Yoga 2 13" convertible ultrabook with 3200x1800 resolution running Windows 8.1. Firefox and Chrome do not have this problem.

Same problem - small fonts throughout and changing font size screws up most webpages. Using HP Z1 at default 2560x1440 resolution. Similar issues on my HP 4330 laptop as well.
Strangely, the fonts in the drop-down menu from the top left and the tool tips are OK (ie. larger, like before the update), but fonts on address bar, tab names, webpages etc have shrunk.

So, the above workaround worked okay with Opera 19 (thanks!) but completely backfires in Opera 20. Now, enabling the "HiDPI" flag makes Opera unusable. Disabling it makes the gui unreadably small. Unlike a lot of the complaints on here I like Opera a lot and would like to keep using it but this makes it really hard to stick with.
