@mich1 true. Unfortunately this is technically impossible to do for an extension. I'd love to have this myself. But there's just no way to do so.

Love it. Couldn't ask for more honestly, small hiccup here and there but @christoph142 has proven to be the one man dev team who gets right on it with a fix. If you're reading this wondering if you should add this extension to your browser, let me save you from any further indecision and just take my word (along with the many many others) for it when I say GET THIS ADD-ON! It's awesome and so is @christoph142 who has earned every bit of a sushi tip for this one!

I started getting popups from your extension. I try to upvote something and it would send me to a site. What else were you guys collecting or doing without my consent?

@howdyimswim Thanks so much @howdyimswim! Trying to do my best over here and it's reassuring to get some appreciation like yours every once in a while for it.

Is there any way to scroll by pages? (Just like the Page Up and Page Down buttons on the keyboard.)
-
christoph142 last edited by
@sajithn yes. Simply click the background bars below or above the main bar.

I'm having an issue where extensions does not work on opening the webpage. Reloading the page fixes the issue.

The perfect scroll bar ️ ... I was looking for a minimalistic scrollbar solution, that would also look nice and this one is just perfect!

Нормально, но
Сделайте уже кто-нибудь элементарную прокрутку по среднему щелчку мыши! -

@opera-comments-bot absolute fricken genious !! great function, and finally the web browser looks awesome. thank you so much.

@bloort: You're very welcome. Please be aware, though, that Opera isn't updating the extension anymore. Neither 4.2.5 nor 4.2.6 has been published to date (4.2.4 only after manual intervention). So you will probably miss out on future updates. Better use the Chrome Web Store instead.

@max1c Hi there. I have absolutely no idea what could be causing this. There are thousands of users of the extension and I have never heard about this before. Maybe some other extension interfering? You could try allowing modern scroll in private windows (and disallowing all others) or use a new profile to test this.

@christoph142
Hi,So I tried this. The only extension that's enabled in incognito is the modern scroll (latest version). And the very first page I open (Reddit) has a scroll bar as you can see on the screenshot. I don't think it's other extensions as this is happening on different machines with different extensions. Refreshing the page removes the scroll bar.

@max1c: I installed Opera 106 and modern scroll 4.2.6. It just works. ️ I'm sorry, but without any hints as to what exactly might be different on your machine, I can't really help.
Another trouble-shooting step would be doing a clean (portable) install of Opera and checking whether the issue is the same there, too. If not, it might be related to some (potentially sync'd) setting(s). -

@christoph142 Okay, I just tested this with the fresh portable install. And while I cannot reproduce this to get stuck, it still takes several seconds before the scroll bar changes to the stylized one from the extension. So I suspect since I have a more heavy old profile something is getting stuck and won't let it change. Also, since this has been an ongoing issue for months I have been using Hide Scrollbar which works without issues at all. It might have something to do with how powerful the computer is because this seems to happen under heavy load.
