Is Opera Download the Right Version?

Deleted User last edited byGreetings. I recently had to reformat this [32-bit] computer & when I went to Opera's download link this is the version that showed up: "Opera 12.16 for Linux x86-64". I'm using Zorin OS6 which is based on Ubuntu v12.04. The platform is i686. I did some searching for a version of Opera that was clearly marked 32-bit, v12.16 & for Ubuntu & I found one, installed it & it works OK but I still wonder if the suggested version from the download page is a 32-bit version that would work despite the "...x86-64" title. If this is actually a 32-bit version then Opera should add more info with this option to let us know that it's actually 32-bit to remedy the confusion. And, if this is a 64-bit version, as it appears to be, then I think Opera's staff should fix this so that it detects the users' computers correctly, if possible, or else simply provide ALL the various OS versions, 32/64-bit, etc., in one place on the download page so we can select the correct version. Thanks!

linuxmint7 last edited byHere you go, all version of Classic Opera from 10.xx through to the latest 12.16 for the 3 systems linked below, including 64bit versions as labelled by their file names. Linux: ftp://ftp.opera.com/pub/opera/linux/ Windows: ftp://ftp.opera.com/pub/opera/win/ Mac:

Deleted User last edited byIt appears that I made the right choice & the version that appears on the Download page is incorrect for my computer. Any other Linux-Opera users with 32-bit computers should beware that if this the only version that's displayed on the Download page: "Opera 12.16 for Linux x86-64", it's for 64-bit machines. I'm going to submit this as a bug report next. Regards!
