How to remove the youareanidiot.cc trojan from my browser?

Hello. I opened youareanidiot.cc for fun, and toggled popups to see what happens. And my browser got forkbombed. And it's stuck as that. Is there a way to remove the tab or at least remove all tabs without having to open the browser?

You could delete the "Sessions" folder in your profile folder. That would get rid of all tabs and windows.

@terrible69 Assuming regular Opera and Windows, in Windows Explorer (File Explorer) (with extensions and hidden items set under view -> show), browse to "C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Roaming\Opera Software\Opera Stable", right-click on the "Sessions" folder, and choose "delete".

Use ad aware cleaner. It can find and eliminate such browser malware better than antivirus

Consider removing the "Sessions" folder within your profile directory. This action will eliminate all tabs and windows associated with it.

i used CCleaner and it forces all apps you want to close if they are trying to refuse. i ended up after doing that going to control panel which can be done by typing it in the bottom left of your screen. after this is done i recommend going to programs and under neeth it should say uninstall a program after this is been clicked find opera and delete it then if you want you could try reinstalling it to see if the virus has been deleted off of your browser and btw i dont knowif that works but atleast try

Use task manager if you do not want to use anti adware. it worked for me just fine

@joaozin003 just close and open ur computer and it's done, but if it doesn't work, then get a type of hardware (which I dunno} and plug it in.

@joaozin003 if you stuck at the youareanidiot.cc, open task manager (ctrl+shift+esc) on windows or open force quit (cmd+option+esc) on mac. Then select the browser and end task.
