      So given that OperaGX is using the Chromium base for the browser and the fact that Google will discontinue Manifest V2 at the beginning of next year in their pursuit of disabling adblockers from the browser.... What is Opera's response to this? The removal of Manifest V2 will prevent users from using Ublock

        Opera hasn't made a statement about this yet. We users can only speculate.

          With the new coming of Manifest V3, I suspect that the adblocker will break, depending on how you detect ads. My suggestion here, is to prepare for the coming of V3, may it be through a highly buggy version of V3 all the way to final development, please find a way to detect the ads and block them, so that we may enjoy you guys' (so far) flawless adblocker.

              @shocknaw I don't think we've got a choice in the matter....

              Google have been trying to get rid of adblockers for ages now. Not sure if you've been paying attention but they have managed to bypass the extension called "Adblocker" some time ago (Main reason I've swapped to uBlock Origin at the time)

              This was a long time coming, I just hope that Firefox can get up to snuff and copy some of the cool things browsers have been doing recently if they suddenly get a bigger share of the user pie when Manifest V3 comes out in full
