Previously requested here, don't know why it was locked.

Should be pretty simple to implement a modern, simple way to customise the preview images for Speed Dial websites. Currently there is a unnecessarily complicated workaround as seen here and here.

This is a fairly basic user experience feature that in my eyes and clearly others' would add quite significant value to the home page.

@burnout426 Thanks for the information, another similar thread but I didn't see that one before. Actually I didn't know about the thumbnail option given when you bookmark a page from the website itself, as I created all my bookmarks by directly pasting the link to the speed dial page. This is good, and at least provides an option better than just the website's name that should work for most websites.

However, allowing users to manually upload an image or something similar with a single button click would improve customisability and ease of use, and is a fairly basic feature that could be created the same way the 'simple' or 'advanced' methods work in that page. This would always give users an easy option to manually fix problems such as no appropriate automatic thumbnails given, or where a logo cannot be automatically found but exists elsewhere.
