lol, now for some irony/levity. opera needs new developers for their new webkit engine, so they hire chromium's open source boys (many volunteer and would likely love a real paying gig). these chromium developers tweak opera's webkit into a proprietary engine. inversely, opera no longer needs the presto boys and has let many of them go. these go and join the chromium project (where else do unemployed browser developers go?). by joining the chromium project they influence it with their presto knowledge and gradually move the webkit engine in a presto direction. diabolical. in a decade, the open source webkit name will now describe a neo-presto hybridized engine. about this time, opera will ditch their faltering proprietary webkit engine and go open source once more. voila, opera is presto once again:) see, no need to worry. we just have to wait it out:) cheers.

You eat too much abalone, my dear. Illegal sea food results often in toxication of cranial cells. 😉

Opera will not be Presto, but Verdi, Vivaldi or just Wagner. 😛
          Tatatataaaaaaaaaaa!

Hmm. "Vivaldi" has a nice classical ring to it... very operatic.

an odd question considering it's not a dating site. anyhow, while i don't think i'm smoking or anything, i do look alright:)

if vivaldi is classical, then opera is baroque (broke). or on the blink of being baroque-n.

i was just reading apple is thinking of continuing to develop webkit and (try to) remove all the google crap that isn't needed anymore (since they are heading blink wards). this means there will be another high end browser option in the future. and it likely means safari will be changing and coming back to windows.

I think it might refer to:
Apple \'ap-el\ n designer and manufacturer of high-end electronic products and software
Ref: see also hedge apple, road apple

actually, i said apple will support the webkit open source project and that that project will produce high end browsers (as it has in the past). blink forked from it and put it in a position of irrelevance or lack of funding. now apple will support that original direction. googles open source source will be blink, and apple's open source source will be webkit. instead of webkit disintegrating, it will continue to be the source of high end browsers in the future.

since the open source boys like multiple platforms, i infered that safari (which is webkit) will once more appear on the windows os (as it developes into something new and therefore eliminates the current security holes ... maybe(?)).
