A built-in clock along the top bar, next to the extensions or battery would be a great feature!

As a workaround for now, installing https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/just-a-clock-the-hours/agglgohcegmeeaccikjfmehncfomccpg/ first and https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/just-a-clock-the-minutes/pgmgkfgcnigcopcjhilfabbdgmjmkogj second, and pinning both of them can get you what you want kind of.

There are also other extensions at https://chrome.google.com/webstore/search/clock?_category=extensions where you can get both the hours and minutes in one extension, but the clock might be hard to read.
