My flow "failed to connect"

@spencerross Nice to know I am the only one. Connecting Opera fails. Scan does not work neither typing in the code. Used to use flow, sad to see it's gone. Or has anybody a solution for this?

Is this really true? Just having switched to Opera I am appalled to see, that this trouble has been going on for ages! Is nobody of the creators of Opera following this blog? How can such an important problem not be solve asap? In Chrome one can use the google account to sync the devices. Why not here? This is not something out of this world and should be solved asap. I do not have the nerve to test all the above. Like Chrome and FF this just has to work, right? Where are the creators/designer to fix this? Very disappointing...

I took a screenshot of just the qr code and opened it on paint with a white background and it worked, tried so many things to get it to work and i can't believe this was it.

the fix to this is to just open it on a dark background, or turn on light mode, the reason it doesn't work is because it thinks the dark background is apart of the code

@baligo This worked!
I have connected my Android phone (GX) + Windows PC (GX) + Linux Mint (regular Opera)! -

@marshallvisions Same here. Sadly, this solution, the only one that works, costs the entire flow history, a several years' worth of it. It got me really mad I see a similar functionality appearing in other apps, so I guess I'll be using Opera for now, but only until I find another option that works for me.

The user @kanczo suggested something in another related topic that worked for him and is now working for me as well. The 'fix' is outlined below:
"When your phone is on the 'Follow the instructions on the other device' screen, simply press the 'Overview' (app-switching) button and force-close Opera. When you relaunch Opera on your phone, the flow should already be connected."
I hope this works for all of you while Opera doesn't directly address this issue.
Thanks, @kanczo, for coming back and sharing your solution with us!

@bothpills Tnx man. This trick worked! Opera on Windows and Android 12. I force-closed Opera on my phone, and somehow it connected! I can now send links betveen my devices. Thanks for sharing.

@bothpills Thanks for posting that! It was the only solution that worked for me. I was going crazy trying to get the flow to work after having to reset my sync data yet again.

This shit feature never ever worked at all. Do not try to look for answer or ask questions spend time for it. Ä°t has been always buggy always pain in the ass.
OPera team cant get stability on the browser. While getting good things for it they broke others.
Atm i have a major ram usage in other words slow browser lagging browser, sttutering browser issues.
16 ram updated win 11 all other things. Legion 5 pro laptop.
