"Out Of Memory" on purpose

Recently I started seeing the "out of memory" pages.
Now, that's not really a problem, yet, but now I wonder.
Can I manually make a page "out of memory" so I can kinda save a tab but make it so my computer doesn't waste resources on it until I decide to open it.
İs this a viable thing?
When I try the GX's own CPU limiter the music/video I have on the background starts to jitter or even stop. It's probably because I have too many tabs open so If I do the mentioned action would it help?
