O19 memory usage vs O12

Hi,

Testing O19. I mostly agree with http://my.opera.com/community/forums/topic.dml?id=1818112 .
Another question is about memory usage : in same situation (after boot, private data suppressed, first run, 2 same web pages open)

-O19 : 6 processes, 510 MB RAM
-O12: 1 process, 245 MB RAM

OK, O19 is somewhat quicker than O12, but this is expensive. Is there a way to reduce the number and or size of forked processes ?

saddest thing is that every plugin will take equal amount of RAM as main Opera(new) process
this shit is inherited by all Chrome forked clones

For the moment I went back to O12.

Buy more RAM; it's cheap. Upgrade you computer. Going back to 12 is really not a viable option anymore. It's days are numbered so you're either going to have to find a way to make Blink work or find another browser.

Hi,

Memory usage is only one of the problems (a notebook with all slots full). I shall wait a few months to see if I then find the functionnalities I had in O12 and give Oxx a try.
