So I disabled all my extensions and the messenger started working
I'll try them one by one now. -

@witheredrose i've disabled them all as well and it worked, but i need those extensions no matter what,so what's up with that they just stop working with messenger all of a sudden?
Neither deactivating them 1 by 1 is making messenger work you literally have to disable all of them. -

AdBlock is at fault here, I use 2: the one that comes with Opera - Opera Ad Blocker and uBlock Origin, when they are both disabled Messenger works, but if either one of them is enabled messenger doesn't work.

@witheredrose hmm, yeah i use ublock as well, pretty interesting tho.Has Facebook made an update which interferes with ad blocking?

@enthnys They probably did but it's not like they will inform us, users. So it looks like the fault lies in Facebook itself.

@witheredrose but there is a catch here,so it doesnt work on the sidebar with the adblock, but it works on their official page?It makes this even more weird

@enthnys The "Messenger" site also doesn't work with AdBlock enabled, but the Messenger on Facebook site does work, probably due to Messenger on Facebook being different(coded differently? I'm not technically skilled here :/). The sidebar uses the "Messenger" site so it also doesn't work.
Edit: Messenger on facebook is like built into it, and probably falls under Facebook rules so it does work with AdBlocks because Facebook works with AdBlocks. While the sole Messenger doesn't work because it falls under different rules that doesn't work with AdBlock since today.

@witheredrose a solution might be just disable ublock/any adblock on the messenger site and should work with the extension enabled.
