Just noticed that the built-in adblocker is no longer working on youtube pre-roll video ads. This wasn't the case a few hours ago.

Opera adblock doesnt block video ads on youtube. When i check on the adblock it says it blocked ads but it actually doesnt.

I think this Opera needs to patch this one, so that this ad is no more. it's annoying.

try updating your lists at opera://settings/adBlockerLists
if that doesn't work you can try using uBlock OriginA more detailed guide can be found here

Left is Original Opera. Right is Opera GX(older version AB).
Problem solved. I use original Opera to allday using, and if i want see GX corner,
i turn on Opera GX. -

Before the issue whenever I opened a youtube video it wouldn't show an ad but have a skip ad button immediately. Now Its like I have no adblocker. I tried disabling it and re-enabling it but it still doesn't work.

When I open up a video, I get ads normally like I would as if there was no ad blocker at all. How can I resolve this?

I have my adblocker on (same with trackers) and ads are still showing up for no reason. These are your regular ads on videos, and I even restarted opera to see if it fixed it. (im using opera gx) So, what's the problem?

Bug: Adblock isn't working again
I was watching youtube for a bit earlier, but it seems that either the Opera built-in adblock just isn't working, or Youtube released an update that somehow bypassed adblockers.
(Yes, I have adblock turned on, I'm not that dumb) -

@potionsidb Same here about Ads problem but you said it happened again (happened before)? Then I am wondering if it really is an opera bug or like some think adblock for YT is slowly failling? Not sure...
P.S. I just install ublock and it works fine right now.
