Opera No Longer Saves New Passwords

I am using Opera for Mac 20.0.1387.91 on OS X Mavericks. When I change a pre-existing password on a site that used a password in O 12.16, Opera will not save the password and no longer lists the site among those with passwords. Is there a way to force Opera to recognize the site as one with a password and to record the password in the password manager?
