@gustavwiz Thanks for your fast reply, Gustav!
I've tried https://en.wikipedia.org/ and it works. I also have tried some other websites like YouTube, IMDb or Metacritic and all of them worked.
However, despite https://www.google.com/ loads without problems on a regular Opera browsing window, it still doesn't load on Web Panel. I tried https://www.bing.com/ too and it didn't load neither.
Yes, I've checked and my version number is 1.5
I've uploaded a screenshot for your reference:
Thanks again for your time

@sealoftime said in Web Panel:
Could you please add a feature that would allow to keep the tab constantly loaded? Used this for my music service and it stopped working
@gustavwiz This would be a great feature. I admit my first intention when I installed this extension was to have a music/videos website playing in background with the panel mainly hidden and just reveal it occasionally to jump to any specific song to then hide it again. But, after a time using it, even though it doesn't have this feature, the extension is a great deal. It's a pity bg play couldn't be implemented.

@dahotfunk Yes, some sites block it from being displayed in an iframe (and I use an iframe for this extension to display websites), and Google are one of those. Especially search engines tend to do this, as Bing, Duckduckgo and Yahoo don't work either. Some options that do work are Ecosia, Startpage and Aol, which are now the default included search engines.
One other option is to use Google search in a regular browser tab, go the the correct page, and then press the "open page in panel" button (left arrow, at the bottom of the panel).

@gustavwiz Aaah... now I understand. That makes sense. Well, maybe it's time to move from the evilish Google to any other alternative such as Ecosia or Startpage.
Thanks for the tips and congrats for the extension!

Hi, It's a big extension, but I have a problem. I want to use it for tweetdeck, but I can't log in, and twitter always appears with errors. How can it be solved?
-
gustavwiz last edited by
@kennysamuerto It has to do with x-frame restrictions, twitter sets 'X-Frame-Options' to 'deny'. For some reason twitter works, but not tweetdeck. I don't think I can do anything about it.

Any planned updates to allow multiple tabs/iframes? Maybe in accordion style?
-

@victorhurtado: Scratch that, local folder browsing and local file opening would be significantly help

@victorhurtado I don't have that much time right now to work on the extension. Also, unfortunately, it doesn't seem like I can access local files at all from the extension (as far as I know). The API isn't really created to make an extension like this

If you get "ERR_BLOCKED_BY_RESPONSE" when trying to load a page, see https://www.reddit.com/r/operabrowser/comments/mlwtgq/sidebar_extensions_blocked_after_upgrade/ for a workaround.

I really appreciate this plugin it is most extremely usefull where other sidebar plugins fail or are lacking. However today it just stopped to work.. will this be fixed? Would be a shame to lose this nice sidebar plugin!

@saniat See if the workaround linked at https://forums.opera.com/post/248815 helps.

Causes Opera GX to crash on some website, thus renders this extension useless.
