In regular Instagram posts, it will allow you to download if the photo is a single photo. But if it's a photo set, it won't have the option to download. Also, it will not download a video in regular posts.
In the Stories, video can be downloaded, but if a photo is posted in the Stories, it won't download that photo. -

Nothing shows up. Not on regular posts. Not on single photos. Not on photo sets. Not on stories. Doesn't work. Period.

"Also when hovering a profile picture, a download button will show up. It will download the image or video in the original resolution as it was uploaded by the owner." Not for me. I don't see any button or way to download profile images while hovering.

By the way, I've been using one another bot, which was looking like this one. Almost the same functionality. Anyway, I've found a way how to download those stories from Instagram via website and it helped me. This one online service called ig story viewer helped me dozens of times with anonymous viewing any open IG account, or downloading any content from those accounts.

Been using this for a while without issues, but now Instagram starting fragmenting its videos so they can't be accessed as a whole in the code anymore which this extension is apparently not able to deal with - would appreciate if that could be fixed in the future
