      I tried to install Opera on Ubuntu 20.04 this morning (5 January 2021). It got stuck trying to install Flash (Pepperflash). It kept trying to download from adobe.com, but, of course, it couldn't. After much fiddling, I got it working. But I get warnings:

      coddpkg: warning: files list file for package 'pepperflashplugin-nonfree' missing;
      e_text

      Whenever I start Opera, I get a message asking if I want to disable Pepperflash. This happens every time.

      As I mentioned... I got it working, but it really was a battle. Can you please disable Flash in the installer?

      Thank you.

        Hi,

        I tried to install Opera on Xubuntu 20.04 LTS (today, 10. 1. 2021).
        It got stuck on installing some flash from adobe.com (but it couldn't, since flash is not supported now.) So it got stuck on 71% of installation and i coudn't do anything. Can you please remove from the installation process installation of flash next update? I think it could solve the problem. Thank you

          Did you solve this somehow?
          I also tried installing Opera and got stuck on the same problem. And now my dpkg is corrupted and I can not install anything anymore.
          "sudo dpkg --configure -a" also does not help as it wants to connect with adobe. It can connect but does not get any answer....
          What can I do?

          Please guys, this is really an error Linux-noobs are stuck on. End of Flash is nothing new - why does this even appear?

            Not solved yet, just installed chrome temporary.. I'm waiting for some update from opera to fix it. Also my dpkg was corrupted, so I have to reinstall Xubuntu.

                That is why the installation has problems - we know. But why is this then still inocorporated within the Opera installation? That is the crazy part.

                  Why not download the Linux package from Opera home page ?
