Such as on services like NordVPN it will mask your IP address and make it look like you're in another country in order to access videos that are restricted in some area but not others. IE: You live in the USA and you want to watch anime, sure there are some on Netflix but not too many, but change your location to Japan and you have more than you could ever watch, or maybe you are in a place that's very restrictive, like China, you can change the location to an area like Canada and suddenly you have all the TV Shows you could want.
