Hangouts screen sharing not working

Version: 49.0.2711.0 - Opera is up to date
Update stream: developer
System: Mac OS X 10.12.6 64-bit

Steps to reproduce:

1. Start a hangout session by calling someone
2. Share your screen
3. Nothing happens, no dialog appears where user can choose an application or whole desktop to share.
