The solution which worked for me was:
Opera settings > track > block trackers

Got it working with tracker blocking.
Disable tracker blocking to get your contacts back.
Save your contacts as a .csv file.
Enable tracker blocking.
I didn't even have to reload the contacts.

I had the same problem

Leave Block Trackers enabled and add
https://mail.yahoo.com/
to Exceptions

This works for me.

Go to
setting > advanced > privacy protection
Then disable tracker...
