      Hi,
Since BT has moved away from Yahoo and established BT mail, I cannot use Windows snipping tool to take shots, clip and annotate - and then paste into BT email using Opera anymore since the upgrade. It seems Opera/Chrome specific as Firefox and Edge don't seem to have this problem. I tried asking about this in BT forums which is where I learned of Edge and Firefox working alongside the snipping tool. Just can't understand what has changed other than the move from BTYahoo to BTMail and why Opera no longer accepts snips in emails anymore. Is this something that can be dealt with in an update? Many thanks for any thoughts or suggestions.

What is BT? Are you talking about BT broadband in the UK? If so, are you talking about their webmail page that you log into at https://home.bt.com/login/loginform?

Since BT has moved away from Yahoo and established BT mail

Do you know if it's still powered by Yahoo mail though? At https://mail.bt.com/, I see mention of Outlook Web Access. Maybe it's just a version of outlook.com now. If you think so, I can test with outlook.com.

You could try installing https://addons.opera.com/en/extensions/details/user-agent-switcher-5/. Set it to Firefox for Windows for the site, but edit the string for it to be:

          Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64; rv:77.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/77.0

If that doesn't work, maybe they're using some Firefox-specific paste code.

@burnout426 Hi. Thank you for your reply. Yes, it is British Telecommunications UK, that partnered with Yahoo for many years as BTYahoo. For some reason (it was said security, though I suspect financial) BT has decided to pull away from Yahoo and it is slowly rolling out new BT Mail to all its clients (either those who use BT Broadband, or those who pay monthly for premium mail so that they can keep their old addresses). The Yahoo app for android 'phones no longer works for BT or BTYahoo addresses and changes are going on in the background. It appears that some changes that BT have made have disrupted the ability to use Windows snipping tool to paste into BT mail using Opera (latest version), although before the change BTYahoo mail did not have this problem. I have tried Firefox, Edge and Chrome and the snipping tool can paste into BT Mail for all of these browsers, making me think this problem is Opera specific. I would like to go back to the BT Mail community and let everyone know this can be fixed.

If it works fine in Chrome too, then use that user agent extension, but use "Chrome for Windows" and edit its string to be:

              Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/83.0.4103.97 Safari/537.36

                Hi burnout426,
Thank you again. I have tried this but, unfortunately, it doesn't seem to work. Not sure what is going on as pasting from snipping tool in Windows and Screenshot in Ubuntu doesn't appear to work with BT Mail in Opera (Version:68.0.3618.165). However, the snips seem OK in Firefox, Chrome and Edge. It must be Opera specific but I am scratching my head as to why.

@troutman17 Try Opera Beta and Opera Developer form https://www.opera.com/download just to see if the issue is already fixed.

If not, you may need to file a bug (post the bug number here), and include login info for a BT test account in the report.

@burnout426 Hi again burnout426. Again, no luck with this modification. It is definitely Opera specific and, even with the User Agent switch and the code that you have kindly provided to edit the switch, it is not working. There appears to be a blank character of some kind in the email (not visible unless you highlight it). It looks like an underscore.
Many thanks for your help. I hope this can be resolved as Opera is a great browser.

@burnout426 Hi burnout426. Thank you so much! It is working in the Beta version of Opera. Will this go to a main release as an upgrade to Opera fairly quickly? Thank you for staying with it. I will pass this info back to the BT community as I am sure many there prefer Opera.

It'll be in Opera Stable when stable reaches version 69, which should be soon I think.
