Flashing Desktop Icons

Ever since I installed the newest update (the one that added WhatApp to the toolbar) the icons on my desktop have been rapidly flashing between the "blank white paper" placeholder and their normal icons. Uninstalling and reinstalling Opera didn't fix it (it began again as soon as it was reinstalled). The problem doesn't seem to have any other negative effects (I can use all of the programs just fine), but it has become extremely annoying. Dose anyone know how to fix this?
