Installed Opera battery saver on my PC running Windows 10 on battery.
Very efficient, lasted much longer than usual but...
Switched off when battery was dead empty (I guess) and since then
battery will not charge : 0% available (pluggeg in).
Tried any trick I found on the net (reset, recalibrate battery, ). No change !
Any new ideas ? -

I once drained my laptop battery too much doing a test in the BIOS where there was no power management. The battery would take a charge after that. I put it in a ziplock bag in the freezer for 20 minutes, pulled it out, let it warm up and put it back in the laptop. It then took a charge again.
This only worked for me in one instance. I've tried the trick with drill batteries and RC batteries and it hasn't worked.
Basically, something like https://www.wikihow.com/Revive-a-Dead-Laptop-Battery. But, try at your own risk to the battery. That's if you battery is even removable. If not, you might have to take apart the laptop to remove it to try this.
I'd try something less-drastic though. Have you tried leaving it plugged into the charger over night instead of just plugging it in to see if it's charging and unplugging it if it doesn't right away?
Do you have a volt meter to test the voltage coming out of the charger plug? Maybe the charger is bad and the battery saver drain is just coincidence.

Thanks for your answer and suggestions.
As I have 2 nearly identical laptops, I eventually swapped the chargers and it worked...I appreciated your help and will keep copy of your mail in case I run into a similar problem.
