Why I can't choose which app to handle YouTube links (i.e. YouTube Vanced)?

I really like that you finally allow, in the last update, users to choose whether to open YouTube links in Opera app or in the YouTube app.
But I really hate that you limited this feature to only official YouTube app.
Most other browsers allow me to choose which app to open YouTube - they ask me, and I can choose official YouTube app, YouTube Vanced, NewPipe, OGYouTube, TubeMate and so on...
In Opera mobile it only shows me the prompt for the default one.
Why did you limit this awesome feature to the only official Google app?
I want to use my favorite apps to handle YouTube.Any chances to allow other applications to open YT links?
Thanks for respond.

@grzegorzgs You can open links in YouTube Vanced by using an app called Open Link With... LINK. This way, you open a video in Opera, tap on 3 dot menu, share, select app Open link with... and it asks you to choose app to open the link with.
Or you can install the latest root version of Vanced which replaces the original pre-installed Youtube app. This way Youtube links open directly and immediately in Vanced. This method worked for me. I don't know if the no-root version would work.
