Google/Gmail/Calendar sign in problems

Help please, a new user to Opera. How do I sign in to my Google account, I've tried every setting that is listed but Google just keeps giving me this message:

Did you add any extensions to Opera?
Do you have Opera Turbo enabled? Click the Menu and make sure "Opera Turbo" isn't checked.
Do you have the VPN option enabled in settings?
Did you adjust any of the cookie settings in Opera?
Things should just work. Is the time, date, time zone and daylight savings time settings on your computer correct?

Things should just work. But I have the same problem as OP. No Google access, same error message.
I have added no extensions.
Opera Turbo is not checked.
VPN enabled.
I changed no cookie settings.Still can't sign in or get to Google Drive.
Ideas, anyone?

I found a solution online. Use Control-Shift-Delete while in Opera to bring up a window to clear browsing data. Be sure Browsing History, Download History, Cookies and other Site Data, and finally Cached Images and Files are all checked. Then from the Dropdown, select The Beginnng of Time. Close and re-open Opera and you should be able to sign into your Google Account and then all Google sites will work.
That fixed it for me and I can now access my mail, calendar, photos, YouTube, etc.

I just installed Opera and imported my bookmarks. When I try to go to my gmail, I get the same message about cookies. I verified all the settings and still cannot access my gmail account. What am I missing?

What happens if you open up a private window, goto the site and sign in? Does it work then?

Enabled? Any difference with it disabled?
