Can't open bit.ly

I want to download this minecraft map, but this is what it says in when i try to go to the bit.ly site
This site can’t be reached

bit.ly took too long to respond.

Try:
Checking the connection
Checking the proxy and the firewall
Running Network Diagnostics
Check your internet connection.
Check any cables and reboot any routers, modems, or other network devices you may be using.

Allow Opera to access the network in your firewall or antivirus settings.
If it is already listed as a program allowed to access the network, try removing it from the list and adding it again.

If you use a proxy server…
Check your proxy settings or contact your network administrator to make sure the proxy server is working. If you don't believe you should be using a proxy server: Go to Applications > System Preferences > Network > Advanced > Proxies and deselect any proxies that have been selected.

Can you help me fix this? I tried checking proxies but theres nothing selected

Welcome to Opera forums @Datdood!

Try with Turbo "OMenu > Opera Turbo" or with a Private window and access to bit.ly

If works, clean Bit.ly cookies (just search for Bit.ly > Delete cookies).

If still any problems, clean the cache.
