How install Google Analytics blocker without making Google a trusted site?

I am running Opera 12 on Windows XP.
I tried to install the Google Analytics opt out from here: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout/index.html
However Opera gave me a pop up message which said it could only install add ons from addons.opera.com unless it was from a trusted web site. To ensure privacy I suspect it's not a good idea to make tools.google.com a trusted site.
So how do I install the Google Analytics opt out?
