Blank white pages still keep showing for no apparent reason.

It's been over 2 years since this response was posted and the problem still persists: blank white pages keep showing for no apparent reason. Opera 64.0.3417.73 on Mac OS X Ek Capitan 10.11.6. Any hope of getting this problem fixed once and for all? I love Opera, but it's just too annoying to have to switch to other browsers because all too often this problem leaves me no choice.

The page in your screenshot is not blank. If you do not like the background colour, you could try a page colour themer extension like Midnight Lizard.

concretable, thank you for your reply. Clearly the the page on the screenshot is not blank. My question didn't state that ALL the pages were blank, but simply that the problem keeps persisting even after 2 years it was "supposedly" solved. It's not a matter of changing the background colour. I tried going to Developer > Task Manager > GPU process > Stop Process as suggested by Opera support but it didn't do anything - blank white pages kept appearing or no reason. I tried disabling the VPN and ad blocking extensions to no avail. Again, any help in solving this problem would be much appreciated.

Sorry, I cannot help because I am not seeing that with my setup. I use several extensions, but nothing specifically for stopping spontaneous blank pages. I wonder if those are popups whose content is blocked but the popup itself is not? -

Thank you again for your prompt reply. I don't know about the popups, but I suppose it could be. The trouble is that it happens with just about any website I visit, from social to media to plain Google search, plus I leave both Opera Privacy Protection and Adblock Plus active (I have tried with both off but the problem persists). In any event, thank you for your help. I'm sorry to say I went back to Safari as my default browser, though. It was pointless to continue dealing with this problem.

I have used Opera for several years with no problems. But lately I been having the same problem of blank screens. There is no pattern. Sometimes it happens when I hit the back button. Sometimes I have to do a refresh, sometimes it takes several refreshing before the page will show up. Sometimes nothing works other than closing Opera and then relaunching. I am using OSX 10.11.6 (El Capitan) and Opera Version:64.0.3417.73.

Even as I went to reply to this old thread, this blank page happened on my Mac. This old problem persists for me and I was hoping to see some kind of fix after so long. I'd done everything cycnoches did and then some. If someone, anyone has anything useful to add, I'd appreciate it. I can't be the only one this is still happening to. I don't want to go back to Safari, but I'm almost there. This is too aggravating to put up with.
