When I try to print a web page from Opera, I do not see all of my printer drivers in the Print Destination drop-down list.

The drop-down includes "Canon MG6600 series Printer WS", but does not include "Canon MG6600 series Printer" (without the "WS"). All other programs, browsers and apps list all of my printer destinations.

I have two work-arounds, but it is annoying that Opera does not list all of my print destinations.

Workaround #1: Click on "Print using system dialog", where all print destinations are indeed listed.

Workaround #2: Select the print destination "Save as PDF", and then print from Adobe Acrobat Reader.

Opera, please fix this problem. What is your rational for limiting print destination choices?

I use the "Canon MG6600 series Printer" driver rather than the "Canon MG6600 series Printer WS" driver because the simple driver prints immediately, whereas the "WS" driver reports that the printer is in use, and delays five to fifteen minutes before printing. Sometimes I even need to reboot the printer to get the "WS" driver to start printing.

That is not a problem for Opera to solve. But it is Opera's purview to list all print destinations, rather that deciding to list some, but not others.

I look forward to Opera's printing with the same print destination options as all other apps, programs and browsers.

As in, Chrome, Brave, Chromium, Vivaldi and Chromium-based Edge all show all of them? They all use Chromium like Opera, so those would be the best comparisons.

YES. Edge and Chrome list my Canon 6600 Series printer (no "WS") as the default, because it is my default printer.

Opera only lists the "WS" driver, even when you click on the "See more..." print destination. There is no room for it to say "WS" at the end of the printer name, until you drop down the list (then you see the full printer name with the WS at the end), but the "WS" printer driver is indeed what it prints to.

The other browsers print to the non-WS driver as the default, but both the WS and the non-WS drivers appear in the drop-down (directly in Edge, and via the "See more..." print destination in Chrome.

Researching a bit, I see the WS version of the driver is a web services driver for printing over wifi or something. Maybe it's like a wifi-direct driver or something. If so, it's weird that Opera only shows those and not the regular drivers.

Are you able to connect your computer directly to the printer via USB just to see if Opera then shows the non-WS ones. I'm not suggestion that as a solution, just wondering if that makes a difference for Opera.

I will try it when I get I chance. I have to find one of my printer USB cables first.

I normally print directly to the printer via wifi (not via the router). But I use the regular driver. Both the WS and non-WS drivers work in this mode, but the WS version has "printer-in-use" issues.
