Opera VPN is quite superb

after some time I have now returned to Opera (primarily because of the built in VPN)
and quite delighted with the whole browser setup as well.I regularly use a VPN and have favoured the free versions of Tunnelbear and Cyberghost.
they also offer Premium paid services that they say are up to 5 times the speed of the free versions,
but this is simply untrue in practice, as my test show.earlier today I ran speedtest.net (the best) on my Plusnet UK setup and got 37.32 Mbps, which is normal.
I than disabled Opera VPN and ran the free version of Cybergost set to the USA and got 14.21 Mbps
it seems obvious to me that their 5x claim is totally unachievable - when 39 is the best I have ever got
I'm no expert in these matters, and possibly I could get 'full bore' is I paid for their best service?
but here is the rub -
when I did the same test with opera's VPN I got 33.56 Mbps (about 85%) of my max)and plenty for me!it's a no-brainer then that Opera have included a brilliant VPN -
and one that is a child's play to use, offers unlimited bandwidth, and appears to connect instantaneously
WELL DONE INDEED
