Stop hyperlink ping tracking in future

I just heard a rumour that Chrome will remove the experimental setting that can disable ping tracking. I suspect this is likely to happen to Opera as well. Is there any way to force disabling ping tracking for hyperlinks? Is the only solution to add a partial URL into My Filters in uBlock Origin? Would "ping=" do the trick?

chrome://flags/#disable-hyperlink-auditing
is already gone in Chrome Stable and Opera Developer. I always use that to disable ping support. -

What are you going to use instead? I already added that partial URL into uBlock Origin, but I wonder if that is adequate or if there is some other syntax that should be used as well? -

Not sure yet. Will probably use Tampermonkey with a user script that removes the ping attribute from all links.

I could not find a ready-made user script for that. If you manage to write one, could you post a copy?

"Disable hyperlink auditing" is a default option in uBlock Origin.

Hmm, didn't know uBlock Origin did that. Was already using it, so I guess I won't worry about writing a script or anything like that.
