The latest Opera for Windows won't go to any websites now!

So I download the latest Chromium Opera to try the built in VPN. It works fine for a while but now it won't go anywhere. It won't even open this website! I can navigate in other browsers fine. What to check? Its like suddenly it put up a firewall and blocked everything. ???

Does Opera work without using its VPN? After you try to turn on its VPN, what color does its icon then appear to be? A few more details about your Opera version, your OS, and your locale would be helpful.
